First Flight Retreat offers luxury Outer Banks oceanfront condos with superb ocean views. First Flight Retreat provides the premium appointments, resort amenities, elevator access, and breathtaking ocean views from a private balcony. Enjoy 1BR, 2BR, & 3BR Outer Banks oceanfront condo rentals. Enjoy the sound of waves crashing and beautiful sunrises from the balcony. First Flight Retreat sits on some of the widest beachfront on the Outer Banks at Milepost 8.5 in Kill Devil Hills. Partial Week rentals are available with flexible stay options for most condos. Most condos have recent updates! The NEW Pool on the ground level was completed in Fall 2023. The pool on the first-floor rooftop will not reopen and will eventually be removed and the area will be re-purposed.

We loved the unit we stayed at. This was our second year staying in the same unit and we booked it for 2026. We appreciated being able to check in early.

Wonderful stay as always; this was our 3rd stay at this property (4th with FF) and our favorite unit so far.

FFR315 - Seas The Day
We have rented at FFR about 13+ times and this past week was a great vacation experience. The only negative was the south elevator was not working. We are happy to climb the stairs most times but checking in and out does require us to use the elevator. The bed linens were clean but scratchy. I usually bring my own pillow cases to put on top so that the pillows are softer on my face. We love FFR and will book again for next year!

we always look forward to staying in the Pelican's Perch. The owner puts a lot of care into making sure the decor is comfortable and inviting.

Very comfortable. The view was wonderful Our 3rd winter there and our favorite condo so far. There wasn�t anything we didn�t like.

FFR315 - Seas The Day
The rental was clean on our arrival. We loved that multiple hangers were available in the closet for our clothes. We love the high top chairs and tables on the balcony, which is one of the reasons we chose this rental the last few years. The Girst Flight staff are always friendly and responsive to our texts. One elevator was down this year but the HOA responded timely. Unfortunately it only worked for a day and was down again. The other elevator still worked. We realize this was not First Flights responsibility. Thank you for making our vacation great! We will be renting again next year!
