This 1-bedroom oceanfront condo at First Flight Retreat in Kill Devil Hills is the building's coziest way to wake up to the Atlantic — a luxurious king bed, stunning ocean views, and the beach just steps away, without paying for bedrooms you won't use.

Simple, Comfortable

The spacious bedroom centers on the king bed, while a sleeper sofa in the open living area adds flexibility for a small family or a couple with a little one — sleeping up to four in all. A flat-screen TV covers the evenings in, and the kitchen handles morning coffee and easy meals. Step out to your private balcony to take in the ocean air and the views that make this stretch of Kill Devil Hills special.

I loved sitting out on the balcony at this condo!! I read a whole book while we were there. Our two dogs loved it too! Beautiful view and a great place to enjoy the ocean when we weren’t at the beach. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t enjoy. We would love to come back!

Pet friendly and clean, our dog would've let us know if he could smell other dogs, he didn't. Our stay wasn't peak season, it wasn't crowded at all, everyone was so nice. We loved just being able to go in our room, no check in required. Loved the keyless code too. The covered parking was awesome, our car was always cool. No complaints at all.

We got to go to the beach this year because this was a partial week rental. Loved the welcome packet because even though I was advised to bring certain items, I forgot and those needed items were in the welcome packet.

The ocean view from the private balcony, the boardwalk immediately out of the back door right to the beach, the fitness room, the swimming pool, the underbuilding parking, the proximity to restaurants and shopping, the keyless entry, the comfortable bed were all positives. l

I love the location of First Flight because it is right on the beach, close to shopping, and there are many restaurants to choose from that are nearby. The one bedroom condo is perfect for our needs and the private balcony is such a plus. The under-building parking is very nice--especially since it rained most of our visit this time. Because of the rain, I was very thankful for the fitness room--but I use it each visit even when it is not raining. The fitness room does enter into my choosing FFR. The pool is very nice also..as is the game room with its ping-pong table and roomy couch.
