We really have it all from crab legs, shrimp, clams, flounder, scallops, and everything in between! Even better – most of it is locally sourced or caught fresh daily in house! So when you come to the OBX you know you’re getting a fresh North Carolina catch!

Sugar Shack
The name may deceive you, no lollipops here, only every seafood you could think of and beer! Sugar shack is an oyster bar and grill along with a fresh seafood market. It is also attached to the Sugar Creek Soundfront Seafood Restaurant. You will have many ways to enjoy their fresh catch. You can buy raw takeout and cook at home, steamed or fried seafood and sandwiches. BONUS: The views are some of the best in the Outer Banks and oceanfront sunsets here are a local favorite!
Austin’s Seafood
This quaint seafood market has down home roots. Family owned and operated, Austin’s has been in the seafood business for over 50 years. Freshness is the number one priority at this local gem and the menu changes as such. They are also experts at the family dinner or big party with their steamer buckets! Check them out in Nags Head, right in between the ocean and Jockeys Ridge. You couldn’t miss this one, look for the shark on the roof!
Billy’s Seafood
This locally owned seafood market is the freshest in town. Located in Kill Devil Hills, this is just a stone’s throw away from First Flight Retreat. Only open April through November, this is a spot you have to try during those summer months! Local blue crabs are cooked daily and ALL crabs are #1 male crabs. Also try their selection of fish, shell fish and scallops before this season is over!
O’Neals Seafood Harvest
Skip the middleman at this Wanchese Harbor favorite! O’Neals is actually a seafood wholesaler that hand picks out a daily selection to serve to the public through their restaurant and retail store. Stop in to buy the daily catch or sit down for lunch from 11am-3:30pm. Call in for the daily specials and be sure to try their soft shell crab BLT!
