Nags Head Beaches

Enjoy great beaches, restaurants, shops, and local attractions in Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head communities. From Milepost 1 -18, enjoy 18 miles of spectacular beachfront, plus activities and fun for all ages. Enjoy Wright Brothers Monument, Jockey’s Ridge, shop at Tanger Outlet Center, Roanoke Island, Historic Manteo, several fishing piers, or the many local dining and entertainment options that are up and down “the Bypass” on Route 158 (Croatan Highway). Nags Head has been a popular vacation destination for generations, and continues to grow and add more fun things to do.

Just a short drive south on Route 12 will take you through the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, and to the gems of Rodanthe, Waves, Avon, and Salvo. Numerous natural attractions and plenty of water related activities await you. Take a day trip to Okracoke Island. Enjoy spectacular lighthouses, fishing piers, world class surfing, and kiteboarding and much much more. Over 70% of Hatteras Island is protect national seashore land. This area was made popular by the 2008 movie, “Nights in Rodanthe” which was set at a house, Serendipity, very close to Waves Village Resort. However, this area has been a popular resort destination for years.
